RESOLUTION NO. 2004-10-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, REQUESTING MEMBERSHIP IN
THE GREATER TEXOMA UTILITY AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of Anna ("City") has had a long and beneficial relationship with the
Greater Texoma Utility Authority ("GTUA"); and
WHEREAS, the City has contracted with the GTUA for several years for issuance of
significant debt through which the City has financed critical infrastructure improvements;
and
WHEREAS, the City is currently working with the GTUA to resolve long term water
supply needs for the City; and
WHEREAS, the City anticipates a continued long term relationship with the GTUA in a
range of different areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna has considered this matter carefully and
has determined that it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City to institutionalize
the relationship between the City of Anna and the GTUA; now therefore
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA THAT THE CITY HEREBY REQUESTS MEMBERSHIP IN THE GREATER
TEXOMA UTILITY AUTHORITY AND ACCEPTS THE BENEFITS AND
RESPONSIBILITIES ACCOMPANYING MEMBERSHIP IN THE GREATER TEXOMA
UTILITY AUTHORITY.
PASSED by the following vote of all members of the City Council as present on this the
10th day of August, 2004.
