RESOLUTION NO. 2005-01-02
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT
BETWEEN COLLIN COUNTY AND THE CITY OF ANNA
CONCERNING FM 455 ENGINEERING SERVICES
2003 BOND PROJECT #03-116 & 117
WHEREAS, the County of Collin, Texas ("County"), and the City of Anna, Texas ("City'), desire to
enter into an agreement for the engineering services for the preparation of schematics and an
environmental assessment for FM 455 from US 75 to State Highway 121. Right-of-way maps will
be prepared from US 75 to Smith Street. Complete Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) as
well as Right -of -Way maps will be developed from State Highway 121 to 0.75 miles west of State
Highway 121, hereinafter called the "Project", in the City and Collin County, Texas.
WHEREAS, the engineering services fee for the Project is $834,576.58 and the City's 50% share
is $417,288.29; and
WHEREAS, the City had originally allocated $238,650.00 for the engineering and plan
preparation for the Project; and
WHEREAS, $178,638.29 additional funding is needed for the engineering and the preparation
right-of-way schematics and plans for the Project and;
WHEREAS, the County and the City, desire to enter into an agreement concerning the
engineering and plan preparation for improvement of FM 455 (the "Project") in the City of Anna
and Collin County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Cooperation Act (Texas Government Code Chapter 791) authorizes
any local government to contract with one or more local governments to perform governmental
functions and services under the terms of the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City and County have determined that the engineering and future construction of
the improvements may be most expeditiously and economically implemented by this agreement.
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Anna does hereby declare its
intention to enter into this agreement and authorizes signing of said agreement with Collin
County.
PASSED by the following vote of all members of the City Council as present on this the 25th day
of January, 2005.
