A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THE PURCHASE OF UTILITY
MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED
THIRTY-ONE THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS AND FIFTY-
TWO CENTS ($231,675.52); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, maintenance equipment is essential to the operation and maintenance of
professional, safe, and high quality public water and sanitary sewer systems; and,
WHEREAS, the FY 2022 City of Anna Annual Budget included the purchase of utility
maintenance equipment for use in the Public Works Department to maintain water and
sanitary sewer infrastructure in the community; and,
WHEREAS, the approved equipment includes a Valve Maintenance Trailer, a Sewer Jet
Trailer, and an Insert -A -Valve Trailer; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Anna is seeking to purchase all three pieced of equipment through
existing purchasing cooperative contracts, including BuyBoard, GoodBuy, and the
Houston Galveston Area Council Buy cooperative purchasing programs; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Authorization of Payment and Funding.
That the City Council of the City of Anna hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute
purchase orders in an amount not to exceed $231,675.52, including:
a. Kinloch Equipment &Supply, Inc. —Valve Maintenance Trailer: $81,105.12
(ExhibitA —GoodBuy Purchasing Coop)
b. Vermeer Texas -Louisiana —Sewer Jet Trailer: $57,270.40 (Exhibit B —BuyBoard
Contract #597-19J
c. APSCO Supply — Insert -A -Valve (Quick Valve) Complete Startup Kit: $93,300.00
(Exhibit C — HGAC Buy)
That funding for the equipment shall come from existing fund balance in the City of
Anna Utility Fund.
