RESOLUTION NO. 2005-02-03
Whereas, Collin County and the City of Anna are among the fastest growing
counties and cities in the state of Texas; and
Whereas, a major corridor for northeastern Collin County is State Highway 121
East which also borders the City of Anna; and
Whereas, Collin County and the City of Anna desire to work with the Texas
Department of Transportation (TXDOT) to make improvements to State Highway
121 East; and
Whereas, in working with TXDOT, Collin County and the City of Anna desire to
plan for right-of-way acquisition, corridor planning, capacity improvements, and
strategy coordination among the county, the City of Anna and other affected
cities, and TXDOT for State Highway 121 East;
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the City Council of the City of Anna does
hereby declare its intention to work with Collin County, other affected cities, and
TXDOT for future improvements to and expansion of this important thoroughfare.
PASSED by the following vote of all members of the City Council as present on this the
22nd day of February, 2005.
