RESOLUTION NO. 2005-06-02
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, NAMING A LOCAL STREET AS
BRYANT FARM ROAD AND SUBMITTING TO COLLIN COUNTY THE NAME OF
KELLY CROSSING AS THE NAME FOR THE COUNTY ROAD CURRENTLY
IDENTIFIED AS COUNTY ROAD 373
WHEREAS, the Joe K. Bryant family has important historical ties to the Anna
community, dating to the mid -nineteenth century; and
WHEREAS, the Bryant family has requested that certain roads in the area settled by
family members be named for in memory of the family; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS
Section 1. Bryant Farm Road
The north -south road along the east edge of the property formerly owned by the Joe K.
Bryant family and now occupied by the Bryant Elementary School shall be named
Bryant Farm Road.
Section 2. Kelly Crossing
The city manager is directed to advise the appropriate officials of Collin County of the
City's desire that County Road 373 be named Kelly Crossing Road, a name that has
been informally given to the road for many decades.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this 28th day of June, 2005.
