RESOLUTION NO. 2007-10-01
Whereas, the City of Anna has successfully partnered with Collin County in past
bond programs which have brought about much needed roadways and open
spaces to serve our growing City; and
Whereas, these partnerships have resulted in sharing the construction costs for
these major roadways and open space projects between the City of Anna and
Collin County; and
Whereas, our taxpayers have benefited greatly from this leveraging of our tax
dollars by partnering with Collin County and these partnerships have also
allowed Collin County to move ahead with much needed criminal justice facilities
which also serve our City and our citizens; and
Whereas, the 2007 Collin County Bond Election, will not require a County tax
rate increase, and the City of Anna will benefit from additional criminal justice
facilities, open space funding and, more specifically, the City of Anna will also be
able to move forward on essential transportation projects such as:

Now, Therefore, We, the City Council for the City of Anna do, hereby, declare
our support for passage of the November 6, 2007 Collin County Bond Election
and do, hereby, encourage our citizens to vote for passage of all three bond
propositions relating to transportation, facilities and open space because they will
benefit both the City of Anna and Collin County and insure that our quality of life
will be maintained during this period of rapid growth and development.
