HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2007-11-01 Seeking Volunteers for a Grant Proposal Writers.pdfCITY OF ANNA, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 2007-11-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO ATTEND CONTINUING EDUCATION DESIGNED FOR BEGINNING GRANT PROPOSAL WRITERS SPONSORED BY THE CONSUMER HEALTH INFORMATION CENTER AT CENTRAL PARK CAMPUS LIBRARY, COLLIN COLLEGE TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 14, 2007 WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is in the best interests of the City and its citizens to seek a volunteer from each of the City's boards or commission to have a basic understanding of the grant -proposal -writing process NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT: 1. The City Council hereby directs that the Planning and Zoning Commission, Economic Development Corporation and Community Development Corporation select a volunteer and send one member of its body to attend continuing education designed for beginning grant proposal writers sponsored by the Consumer Health Information Center at Central Park Campus Library, Collin College to be hell on December 14, 2007 from 1:00-5:10 p.m. located at Central Park Campus Room C115, 2200 West University Dr., McKinney, TX 75069. 2. The City Council further directs City Secretary to submit the registration form attached hereto as Exhibit W or take any necessary steps to provide for the registration of the above -referenced members of the above -referenced bodies to attend the grant -writing continuing education session referenced above.
