RESOLUTION NO. 200842-01
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF ANNA A MASTER AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas ("the City") desires to enter into a master
agreement for professional services in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has selected the firm of Freese and Nichols, Inc. to
potentially provide a variety engineering and municipal planning services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has based its selection on demonstrated competence and
qualifications to perform said services at fair and reasonable rates;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a Master Agreement for
Professional Services with Freese and Nichols, Inc. ("FNI") to potentially provide a
variety engineering and municipal planning services. The City Council recognizes that
said Master Agreement is not a contract for the performance of any specific work or any
specific project, but merely sets forth preliminary agreements should the City to decide
to engage FNI to perform any specific work, at which time the City may reassess the
factors for selection and other criteria set forth under Gov't Code § 2254.001, at seq., if
appropriate and required by law.
