A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, ADOPTING A MISSION
STATEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, after consultation with City staff
and careful consideration and reflection, desires to adopt a descriptive statement of its
mission in government as it relates to values, purposes and goals for the benefit of its
citizens and betterment of the community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas resolves that it is in the best
interests of the City and its citizens to adopt this resolution;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ANNA, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. The statement set forth in Section 2, below, shall be titled "City of Anna's
Mission Statement and is hereby adopted as the City's broad summary of its values,
purposes and organizational goals as a governmental entity.
SECTION 2. In order to enhance the quality of our community, the City of Anna is
committed to the principles of open and fair government and progressive planning that
honor the public trust, protect our common resources, and promote a safe, sustainable,
and connected community.
