RESOLUTION NO. 2008-05-05
A RESOLUTION REGARDING BIDS SUBMITTED FOR THE SOUTH PUMPING
PLANT PROJECT AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code §252.001, at seq., the
City of Anna, Texas ( the City"), has advertised and received competitive bids from
construction contractors for services related to the South Pumping Plant project ("the
Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City's consulting engineer has reviewed the bids for accuracy and
completeness and has tabulated all bids; and
WHEREAS, the City's consulting engineer verified that the lowest responsible bidder for
the Project is Crescent Constructors, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas City Council ("City Council") has determined that it
is in the best interest of the City and its citizens to award this contract to the lowest
responsible bidder, Crescent Constructors, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Upon review of any and all valid bids timely submitted for the Project, the
City Council hereby awards the contract to Crescent Constructors, Inc.
Section 2. The award of this contract shall be subject to the City and the successful
bidder reaching a mutually agreeable written contract and the approval of said contract
by the City Attorney.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas this the 27th
day of May, 2008.
