RESOLUTION NO. 2008-05-06
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ANY AND ALL BIDS SUBMITTED FOR THE REPAIR
AND RENOVATION OF A 300,000 GALLON GROUND STORAGE TANK AND
AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISING FOR NEW BIDS
WHEREAS, in accordance with Texas Local Government Code §252.001, at seq., the
City of Anna, Texas ( the City"), has advertised and received one or more competitive
bids for services related to the repair and renovation of a 300,000 Gallon Ground
Storage Tank project ("the Project"); and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Texas Lail Government Code §252.043(f), the City is
authorized to reject any and all bids; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas City Council ("City Council") has determined that it
is not in the best interest of the City and its citizens to award a contract based on the bid
or bids received to date and desires to reject any and all bids; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to seek new bids by re -advertising the Project.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. The City Council rejects any and all bids received to date for the Project.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes the re -advertising of this Project to obtain new
competitive bids to the extent required by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas this the 27th
