RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-07
(City Annexation of Property East of Hwy 75 and South of CR 370)
(56 acres)
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING DATES, TIMES, AND PLACES FOR PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, in order to better protect the heal~ safety, and welfare of the citizens of Anna, the
City Council of the City of Anna wishes to consider annexation of certain property described in
Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, said territory is adjacent or contiguous to the present boundaries of the City of
Anna, Texas; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA THAT
Section 1.
The City Council of the City of Anna hereby proposes to annex the property described in Exhibit
A.
Section 2.
Public hearings regarding the proposed annexation are hereby scheduled as follows:
1st Public Hearing -November 23,2010, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Room of the Anna City
Hall Administration Building located at III North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5).
2nd Public Hearing -November 23, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Room of the Anna City
Hall Administration Building located at III North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5).
Section 3.
The City Council directs the City of Anna's Development Services Department to prepare a
service plan that provides for the extension of full municipal services as required and appropriate
for the proposed area to be annexed provided that said area meets at least one ofthe criteria listed
below:
1. The proposed annexed area contains fewer than 100 separate tracts of land on which one or
more residential dwellings are located on each tract; or
2. The proposed annexed area is being annexed by petition of more than 50 percent of the real
property owners in the area proposed for annexation or by vote or petition of the qualified voters
or real property owners as provided by Subchapter B ofthe Local Government Code; or
3. The proposed annexed area is the area is or was the subject of:

a. an industrial district contract under Section 42.044 of the Local Government Code; or
b. a strategic partnership agreement under Section 43.0751 ofthe Local Government Code; or
4. The proposed annexed area is located in a colonia, as that term is defined by Section 2305.581
of the Government Code; or
5. The proposed annexed area is located completely within the boundaries of a closed military
installation.
PASSED by the following vote of all members of the City Council as present on this the 12th day
of October, 2010.
