RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A
DONATION OF A FIRE PREVENTION AND PROTECTION VEHICLE FOR PUBLIC
USE BY THE CITY OF ANNA FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas ("City") performs the governmental function of fire
prevention, protection and control through the Anna Fire Department, a department of
the City; and
WHEREAS, the City is in need of a certain type of fire protection vehicle (the "Vehicle")
to be used by the Anna Fire Department in the discharge of said governmental
functions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council ("City Council") of the City of Anna, Texas has been
informed of the tender of a donation to the City of the Vehicle, and has further
determined that the City's acceptance and use of the Vehicle for said governmental
functions will serve a public use and will support the welfare and safety of the general
public; and
WHEREAS, the City is a governmental entity and a political subdivision of the State of
Texas eligible to accept deductible donations for public use in the performance of its
municipal functions;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Approval and Acceptance of Donation.
Subject to receiving all information and documentation necessary to establish full
ownership of the Vehicle solely in the name of the City free and clear from all liens, and
subject to receiving delivery of the Vehicle in good working order and in good condition,
the City Council hereby approves of and accepts the donation of the Vehicle to the City
by Westminster Fire Rescue, as provided by its agent, Sam Geer, an individual.
Section 3. Vehicle DesCription.
The Vehicle is a 2003 Chevrolet, model K25, with Vehicle Identification Number
1 GNGK26UX3R299020 and license number 1093652 as set forth in a copy of the
Texas Certificate of Title attached to this resolution as Exhibit A. The Vehicle has

additional after-market fire-protection features. all of which are part of the donation
being accepted under this resolution.
Section 4. Receipt.
This resolution may be used as a receipt by the donor as documentation of the donation
of the Vehicle to the City.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas this the 26th
day of October, 2010.
