RESOLUTION NO. 2013-05-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT
VEHICLE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND APPROVING THE USE OF FISCAL
YEAR 2013 CONTINGENCY APPROPRIATION FOR SAID PURCHASE.
WHEREAS, on September 4, 2012, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas ("City
Council"), after a duly noticed public hearing as required under Texas Local Gov't Code
§102.106, and in accordance with applicable provisions of the City of Anna, Texas
Home -Rule Charter ("Charter"), adopted a budget of all municipal appropriations and
expenditures for the 2012-2013 fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance number 592-2012 adopting the budget includes a contingency
appropriation as set forth in Section 7.08 of the Charter; and
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the Charter calls for the City Council to authorize the use
any contingency appropriation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Approval and Authorization to replace a Police Department vehicle.
The City Council hereby approves the purchase of a replacement vehicle for the Police
Department not to exceed $33,000 for the vehicle and associated equipment and up fit
costs details of which are attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
Section 3. Contingency Appropriation.
Consistent with Section 7.08 of the Anna City Charter, the City Council hereby
authorizes the City Manager to transfer $27,575 from the FY 2013 Budget Contingency
Appropriation to the Police Department appropriation (10-555) in the General Fund.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on first and final reading on this 28th
May, 2013.
