REQUIRE RAISING MORE REVENUE • PROPERTY TAXES
PREVIOUS
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Texas has amended Section 102.007 of
the Local Government Code; and
WHEREAS, a separate vote of the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas is required to
ratify that the adoption of the FY 2014 Budget will require raising more revenue from
property taxes than the previous year; and,
WHEREAS, this resolution satisfies the aforementioned requirement;
NOW - • RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCILOF OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The facts and recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all
purposes.
Section 2. Acknowledgement and Ratification of
The 2013-2014 fiscal year budget will raise more revenue from property taxes than last
year's budget by $357,069 or 14.61 %, and of that amount $195,839 is tax revenue to be
raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas this the 10th
day of September, 2013.
