MINUTES
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING
111 N. Powell Parkway
Tuesday, June 21, 2022 @ 6:30 PM
The Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Commission of the City of Anna met at 6:30 PM, on June
213 2022, at the Anna City Hall, Located at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the
following items below.
1. Call to Order, Roll Call, and Establishment of Quorum. The meeting was called to
order at 6:38 p.m. Theresa King -Bell, Dallen Morgan, Alfredo Fernandez, and Elijah
Nelms were present. Sinisa Slavnic, Christopher Prothro, and Elizabeth M. Knapp were
absent.
2. Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Neighbor's Input.
At this time, any person may address the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Commission
regarding an item on this meeting agenda that is not scheduled for public hearing. Also, at
this time any person may address the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Commission
regarding an item that is not on this meeting agenda. Each person will be allowed up to 3
minutes to speak. No discussion or action may be taken at this meeting on items not listed
on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific information in response to a
citizen's inquiry or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry.
No neighbors comments.
4. Reports.
a. Fill our Community: Community Events and Projects. Kimberly Winarski gave a
brief update to the board about the Juneteenth event and the Neighbor Academy
Veteran's project.
b. Oath of Office.
5. Items For Individual Consideration.

Consider/Acscuss Subcommittees for the upcoming year. The staff liaisons for
the Community Events and Programming subcommittee as well as the Police and
Public Safety subcommittee introduced themselves to the board. The board
members decided on which subcommittees they'd like to sit on.
Police and Public Safety —Theresa King -Bell, Elijah Nelms, Elizabeth Knapp
Community Events and Programming —Alfredo Fernandez and Dallen Morgan
Local Business — Alfredo Fernandez and Dallen Morgan
Unassigned — Sinisa Slavnic and Christopher Prothro
Persons with a disability who want to attend this meeting who may need assistance should contact the Assistant City
Manager's office at 972-924-3325 two working days prior to the meeting so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
b. Consider/Act/Discuss Electing a Chair. Alfredo Fernandez made a motion to elect
Theresa King -Bell as the chair. Dallen Morgan seconded. The motion passed 4-0-
0.
c. Consider/Act/Discuss Electing a Vice Chair. Theresa King -Bell made a motion to
elect Elijah Nelms as the vice chair. Dallen Morgan seconded. The motion passed
4-0-0.
d. Consider/Act/Discuss Electing a Secretary. Alfredo Fernandez made a motion to
elect Dallen Morgan as the secretary. Theresa King -Bell seconded. The motion
passed 4-0-0.
e. Consider/Act/Discuss approving minutes from the May 3, 2022 Diversity and
Inclusion Advisory Commission meeting. Theresa King -Bell made a motion to
approve the minutes. Dallen Morgan seconded. The motion passed 4-0-0.
6, Adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
