RESOLUTION NO. 2015-05-05
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY
SECRETARY
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas ("the City") has a City Secretary who is presently on
leave; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas City Council ("City Council") has determined that it is
in the City's best interest to appoint an Acting City Secretary to temporarily perform all
functions of the City Secretary;
WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City Manager to engage a person to
temporarily serve as the Acting City Secretary; and
WHEREAS, the Acting City Secretary shall work under the supervision and direction of
the City Manager;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Appointment of Acting City Secretary
2.01 The Acting City Secretary shall have all the powers, duties, and responsibilities which
normally accompany the office of City Secretary.
2.02 The position of Acting City Secretary shall cease to exist upon return from leave of the
City Secretary; upon appointment by the City Council of a person as the City
Secretary; or when the City Council takes further action related to this matter.
2.03 Mirenda McQuagge-Walden is appointed as the Acting City Secretary.
