ORDINANCE NO. 67-2003
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, REVISING ORDINANCE NO. 98-14, AS
AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2002-10, BY REVISING THE WATER DEPOSIT AMOUNT,
REVISING THE RECONNECTION CHARGE, AND REVISING TAP FEES; ESTABLISHING A
REPEAL CLAUSE; ESTABLISHING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND ESTABLISHING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, existing ordinances do not specify a tap fee for the various size meters now in use
and being considered by use in the city; and
WHEREAS, existing ordinances do not specify a tap fee for the various size sewer taps now in
use and being considered by use in the city; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT
Section 1. Water Taps
Section 2 of Ordinance No. 98-14, as amended by Ordinance No. 2002-10, is revised to read as
follows:
The following charges shall be made to new customers for water taps in the City of Anna:
Water Tao Size Charge
3/4" — 1" $ 750.00
1 Yz" $ 950.00
2" $1,000.00
2" Compound $1,500.00
4" and over $3,500.00
Sewer Tap
4" $ 750.00
6" $1,000.00
The customer requiring such service shall be responsible for any costs associated with boring
of a public street.
Section 2. Repeal Clause
All parts of any ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are to the extent of
such conflict hereby repealed.

Section 3. Savings Clause
If any provision of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder
of such ordinance shall continue in full force and effect the same as if such invalid or
unconstitutional provision had never been a part hereof.
Section 4. Effective Date
This ordinance shall be effective upon the posting and/or publication of its caption as required
by law and the City Secretary is hereby directed to implement such posting and/or publication.
Section 5. Penalty
Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine not to exceed the maximum as prescribed by the
statutes of the State of Texas. Each day of violation may be considered a separate offense
under the provisions of this ordinance. Each transaction in violation of any provision hereof
shall be deemed a separate offense. Prosecution or conviction under this provision shall not
be a bar to any other remedy or relief for violations of this ordinance.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, by the following vote on this the 25th
day of March, 2003.
