Commercial Rate Increase.pdfCITY OF ANNA, TEXAS ORDINANCE NO. oi; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, AMENDING THE ANNA CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING PART 11, ARTICLE 49, SECTION 7.15; AMENDING PART IV, FEE SCHEDULE, ARTICLE VII, SECTION 1; PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS, SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING CLAUSES; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas ("the City") has previously adopted a policy regulating commercial and industrial solid waste collection and disposal and has an existing contract for these services with Waste Management of Texas, Inc. ("Waste Management"); and WHEREAS, Waste Management has requested a 4.4% cost of living increase and a 4% fuel adjustment increase in contracted rates for commercial and industrial solid waste collection and disposal in the City; and WHEREAS, the City of Anna, Texas City Council ("City Council") now desires to amend said policy to revise the solid waste collection and disposal rate charges for customers of the City. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Savings, Severablltty and Repealing Clauses All ordinances of the City in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are repealed to the extent of that conflict. If any provision of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, the remainder of such ordinance shall continue in full force and effect the same as if such invalid or unconstitutional provision had never been a part hereof.
