ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT NOTICE
APPEAL NO.
Dear Property Owner:
Mr. Brad McCoy, representing Wells/McCoy Steel Services, Inc., has made an appeal for a
variance from provisions of Section 22 of the City of Anna Zoning Ordinance to erect an office
building at the northeast corner of Powell Parkway and Seventh Street. The petitioner requests
that the 15’ side yard requirement be reduced to 5’ along Seventh Street.
Property Description: Portion of Block 9, Lot 10, G. Gladstone Survey, 4702 Old Brownsville
Road.
The permit was denied because the number of accessory off street parking spaces does not
meet the minimum requirements of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Anna.
This is to notify you that a public hearing will be held on the requested exception on Tuesday,
October 2, 2001, at 7:00 p.m., at the Anna City Hall, 120 W. Fourth Street, Anna, TX. The
purpose of this meeting is to give you the opportunity to express your views with respect to the
requested variance.
NOTE: In fairness to the appellant(s), the opponent(s), and the members of the Board of
Adjustment, this request should not be discussed with the members of the Board of Adjustment
before the hearing, by telephone calls or letter, either at their home or office. Anyone interested
in the exception, either for or against, may address a letter to the Board of Adjustment, P.O. Box
776, Anna, Texas, 75409, or personally deliver the letter to the office of the City Secretary prior
to 4:30 p.m. of the date of the hearing.
Sincerely,
John Rattan
Chairman, Zoning Board of Adjustment
