MINUTES
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
February 13, 2017
The Board of Adjustment of the City of Anna met February 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Anna
City Hall Administration Building, located at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the
following items.
1. Call to order and establishment of quorum.
The meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. Members present were Jon Hendricks, Robert
Simonsen, LaShardar Jarvis -Wells, Brent Thomas and James Gurski. Staff present was
Maurice Schwanke and Tana Ross.
2. (a) Public Hearing: To consider public comment on a variance request by Bryan Burchfiel
of Skorburg Company, representative for ATC Amenity Center, LTD., from provisions of the
City of Anna Code of Ordinances, Part III –D, Sign Regulations, Article 2, Section 2, (a) to
allow an off-premises sign.
The public hearing open at 7:03 p.m. Mr. Schwanke gave a presentation and answered
questions from the Board. Bryan Burchfiel, representative for the Skorburg Company was
present for meeting and answered questions from the Board.
The public hearing closed at 7:23 p.m.
b) Consider/Discuss/Act on variance request regarding provisions City of the Anna Code of
Ordinances, Part III –D, Sign Regulations, Article 2, Section 2, (a) to allow an off-premises
sign.
Following discussion, a motion was made by Robert Simonsen, seconded by James Gurski
to approve five feet off premise sign. The vote was unanimous,
3.Consider action to approve Minutes of the following Minutes.
March 6, 2014
A motion was made by Robert Simonsen, seconded by Brent Thomas to approve the March
6, 2014 Minutes.
4.Adjourn
A motion was made by Brent Thomas, seconded by Robert Simonsen to adjourn meeting.
Meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
