Park Board
Special Meeting, February 13, 2006
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a special meeting at 7:00 pm, Monday, February 13
2006, at the Anna City Hall, 101 N. Powell Parkway, and considered the following items.
1. Call to Order.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jon Hendricks at 7:42 p.m.
2. Roll Call.
Members present Included Mr. Hendricks, Ms. Elizabeth James, Ms. Angie Toles, and Me.
Molly Young.
3. Update and take action as desired regarding Geer Field Park.
Ms. James moved that the board recommend that the City Council reconsider the name
given to the 25 acre park site located at the northeast comer of the intersection of Smith
Street and E. Sixth Street and that the park be named Geer Park in honor of Mr. Anthony
L. Geer and Ms. Elnora Geer. The motion was seconded by Ms. Young and was passed
unanimously.
4. Update and take action as desired regarding City Park (TPWD) project.
There was no action taken on this item.
Board member Bill Hemenway arrived and participated in further deliberations of the
board.
5. Consider/Discuss/Action on recommendation regarding potential park area in CR 367/W.
White Street area.
Me. Young moved that the Park Board recommend that the Jim Mann 20 acre tract on W.
White Street be purchased for use as a passive use park and open space area,
conditional on agreement with the property owner regarding acceptable access to the
park area from W. White Street Me. Toles seconded the motion, which passed
unanimously.

There was not action taken on this item.
7. Discuss items as desired by Park Board members.
There were no items discussed by board members.
