ANNA PARK BOARD
REGULAR MEETING
July 21,2008
The Park Board of the City of Anna held its regular meeting on Monday,July 28,2008,at 7:00
p.m.at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration Building,located at 111 North
Powell Parkway (Hwy 5),to consider the following items.
1.Call to order at 7:04 and establishment of quorum.Park Board members present were
Chairman John Loyd,Vice Chairman Kelly Bailey,Secretary Deb Dennis,and Jon
Hendricks.
2.Fund Raising Projects update.
Brick Sales-We need to get these bricks sold.Currently none have been purchased.
Ideas for sales are NNO event,Meet the Teacher,GACC,Girl Scouts,Boy Scouts.
Deb Dennis-Stay in Anna/Play was held on 4/25,checks are still trying to be collected.
Right now the total collected is $125 total from Angel Wings and Mama Mia's.
3.Update on Restroom/Concession Building.John Hendricks has stated that he would like
to see more shade around the structure for shelter during storms and summer heat.
4.Update on status of Slayter Creek Park.The steel for the pavilion will be delivered in
September,October completion.
5.Special Projects.
Historical resource signage-(Jon Hendricks)turned in information.
Cultural resource signage-(John Loyd)left paperwork at home.
Texas Smartscape-(Deb Dennis)Still making contacts with various groups and
organizations for donations.Trying to figure out when plants need to be planted for best
growth.
6.Agenda was missing an item #6.
7.Park Board Minutes.A motion was made to approve the May 19th,2008 minutes by Deb
Dennis and seconded by Kelley Bailey.The motion passed.
8.Citizens comments and/or other presentations.A grant application was submitted for
Natural Springs Park,grant recipients will be announced in October.
9.Adjourn at 8:05 pm.The motion was made by Kelley Bailey and seconded by Jon
Hendricks.Motion passed.
