CITY OF ANNA
SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING
May 16, 2006 7:00 PM
The City Council of the City of Anna met in Special Session at 7:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at the Community Room, Texas Star Bank, located
at 402 W. White Street (FM 455), to consider the following items.
Call to Order.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham and Council Members Lynn Mosier, Billy
Deragon, David Crim, J. W. Finley and John Geren were present.
3. Consider/DiscusslAction on adopting a resolution canvassing the
returns of the City of Anna Election held May, 13, 2006, to elect
three city council members all for two-year terms; to elect two city
council members all for one-year terms and declare the adoption of
increasing the Economic Development Sales Tax from 0.25% to
0.5%.
Council member Geren made the motion to adopt the resolution
canvassing the returns of the City of Anna Election held on May 13,
2006. Council Member Finley seconded the motion. Motion passes all.
AYE 6 NAY 0 ABSTAIN o
4. Administer oath of office and present certificate of election to
newly elected officials.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham administered the Statement of
Elected/Appointed Officer and the Oath of Office to Council Members
Billy Deragon, David Crim, John Garen and Keith Green.
S. Adjourn.
Council Member Mosier made the motion to adjourn at 7:06 p.m. Council
Member Geren seconded the motion. Motion passes.

Kevin Anderson arrives and the Mayor administers the Statement of
Elected/Appointed Officer and the Oath of Office.
