CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA
September 14, 2007 7:00 PM
Anna City Hall Administration Bldg.
The City Council of the City of Anna met in Special Session at 7:00 p.m., Friday,
September 14, 2007, at the Anna City Hall Administration Bldg., located at 111 N. Powell
(Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham called the meeting to order at 7:07 p.m.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham and Council Members Mike Grist, Kevin Anderson, Keith
Green and Billy Deragon were present. Council Members John Garen and David
Crim were absent.
3. ConsidertDiscusslAction regarding adopting an Ordinance approving the
proposed Fiscal year 2007-2005 Budget for the City of Anna, Texas,
City Manager, Kenny Jenks stated that there have been several meetings to
discuss the budget and the necessary public hearings have been held. Council
Member Deragon made the motion to approve. Council Member Green
seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 4 NAY 1 (CM Anderson) ABSTAIN 0
4. Consider/DiscusWAction regarding adopting an Ordinance approving a
0.575000 Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2007-2008 for the City of Anna, Texas.
City Manager, Kenny Jenks stated that we needed to look out for the fiscal
stability of the City and in order to pay for half the debt incurred taxes needed to
be raised $.05. Council Member Deragon made the motion that property taxes be
increased by the adoption of a tax rate of 0.575000. Council Member Green
seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 4 NAY 1 (CM Anderson) ABSTAIN 0
5. Adjourn.
Council Member Crist made the motion to adjourn at 7:11 p.m. Council Member
Green seconded the motion. Motion passes.
