SPECIAL PUBLIC HEARING
CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA
August 30, 2008 10:00 AM
Anna City Hall Administration Bldg.
The City Council of the City of Anna met in Special Session at 10:00 a.m.. Saturday,
August 30, 2008, at the Anna City Hall Administration Bldg., located at 111 N. Powell
(Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order.
Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Anderson called the meeting to order at 10:15 am.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Anderson and Council Members Mike Crist, Keith Green
and Darren Driskell were present. Mayor Kenneth Pelham and Council Member
David Crim were absent.
3. Public Hearing:
For City Council to hear public comment regarding the proposed tax rate
for Fiscal Year 2008-2008.
Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Anderson opened the public hearing at 10:15 am. City
Manager, Philip Sanders reviewed the budget and the proposed tax rate of 0.575
briefly. There was no public comment. Mayor Pro Tem Kevin Anderson closed
the public hearing at 10:17 am.
Council Member Crist made the motion to enter into closed session. Council
Member Driskell seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 4 NAY 0 ABSTAIN
4. CLOSED SESSION: Under Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 551, the City Council
may enter into closed session to:
a. Personnel: Consider City Manager Contract (Government Code,
Section $51.074).
The council furdner reserves the right to enter into executive session at any time
throughout any duly noticed meeting under any applicable exception to the Open
Meetings Act
Council Member Green made the motion to return to open session. Council
Member Crist seconded the motion. Motion passes.

5. Adjourn.
Council Member Driskell made the motion to adjourn at 10:28 pm. Council
Member Grist seconded the motion. Motion passes.
