CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA
September 16, 2008 6:30 PM
Anna City Hall Administration Bldg.
The City Council of the City of Anna met in Special Session at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday,
September 16, 2008, at the Anna City Hall Administration Bldg., located at 111 N. Powell
(Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order.
Mayor Kenneth Pelham called the meeting to order at 6:32 pm.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Present were Mayor Kenneth Pelham and Council Members Mike Cdst, Kevin
Anderson, Keith Green and Darren Driskell. Council Member David Crim was
absent.
3. Public Hearing:
For Council to hear public comment on the proposed budget for Fiscal
Year 2008-2009.
Mayor Pelham opened the public hearing at 6:32 pm. There was no public
comment. Mayor Pelham closed the public hearing at 6:33 pm.
4. Consider/DiscusslAction regarding adopting an Ordinance approving the
proposed Fiscal year 2008.2009 Budget for the City of Anna, Texas.
Council Member Driskell made the motion to approve the ordinance. Council
Member Green seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 5 NAY 0 ABSTAIN 0
5. Consider/Discuss/Action regarding adopting an Ordinance approving a
0.576000 Tax Rate for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 for the City of Anna, Texas.
Council Member Crist made the motion that "property taxes be increased by the
adoption of a tax rate of 0.575000." Council Member Green seconded the
motion. Motion passes.

6. Consider/Discuss/Action regarding a change order to the contract with
Crescent Constructors, Inc. reducing the overall contract price.
Council Member Green made the motion to approve the change order. Council
Member Crist seconded the motion. Motion passes.

Council Member Crist made the motion to go into dosed session. Council
Member Driskell seconded the motion. Motion passes.

7. CLOSED SESSION: Under Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 661, the City Council
may enter into closed session to:
a. discuss or deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real
property (Tex. Gov't Code §551.072);
b. Discuss or deliberate Economic Development Negotiations:
(1) To discuss or deliberate regarding commercial or financial
information that the Board of Directors has received from a
business prospect that the Board of Directors seeks to have locate,
stay, or expand in or near the territory of the City of Anna and with
which the Board is conducting economic development negotiations;
or
(2) To deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to a
business prospect described by subdivision (1). (Tex. Gov't Code
§551.087).
The council further reserves Me right to enter into executive session at any time
throughout any duty noticed meeting under any applicable excapdon to the Open
Meaengs Act.
Council Member Crist made the motion to return to open session. Council
Member Driskell seconded the motion. Motion passes.

8. Adjourn.
Council Member Driskell made the motion to adjourn at 7:25 pm. Council
Member Crist seconded the motion. Motion passes.
