SPECIAL JOINT CITY COUNCIL I ANNA ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND ANNA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CORPORATION WORKSHOP
February 15, 2011 8:00 P.M.
Anna City Hall Administration Building
The City Council of the City of Anna and Anna Economic Development
Corporation and Anna Community Development Corporation met in a Special
Workshop Session at 8:00 p.m., February 15, 2011, at the Anna City Hall
Administration Building located at 111 N. Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), Anna, TX
75409, to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order
Mayor Darren R. Driskell called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
Mayor Darren R. Driskell and Council Members Kevin Anderson, Keith
Green, John Geren and Becky Glover were present. Council Members
Mike Crist and Marc Hendricks were absent.
EDC/CDC Members present were Connie Stump, Sherilyn Godfrey, Gene
Bowles and Sandra Delgado. Members absent were Duane Hayes and
Bill Olsen.
3. Workshop: The following items/issues will be discussed. No action
will be taken on any item:
a. Review and Discussion of Corporation goals and objectives.
Jessica Perkins, Assistant to the City Manager summarized some of the
accomplishments of the corporations. Discussion regarding businesses
looking to locate in Anna; sales tax being received from Bloomfield Homes
agreement; grants not being funded at this time; EDC's property and what
to do with it and the need to fill the vacancy on the boards.
4. Adjoum.
Council Member Green made the motion to adjourn at 8:33 pm. Council
Member Glover seconded the motion. Motion passes.
