CITY OF ANNA SPECIAL AGENDA NOTICE- CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP
July 5, 2011 6:30 p.m. — Anna City Hall Administration Building
The City Council of the City of Anna met in Special Workshop Session at 6:30 p.m.,
July 5, 2011, at the Anna City Hall Administration Bldg., located at 111 N. Powell (Hwy
5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to Order.
Mayor Darren R. Driskell called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call and Establishment of Quorum.
A quorum was established. Present were Mayor Darren R. Driskell and Council
Members Mike Crist, Marc Hendricks and Becky Glover. Council Members
Kevin Anderson, Keith Green and John Geren were absent.
3. Consider/Discuss/Action approving a Resolution to authorize submitting a
Application to the Collin County Open Space Grant Program.
Maurice Schwanke, Director of Planning and Development presented this item
with a power point presentation and answered questions from council members.
Council Member Becky Glover made the motion to approve. Council Member
Marc Hendricks seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 4 NAY 0 ABSTAIN 0
4. Consider/Discuss/Action approving a Resolution to authorize submitting a
Application to the Collin County Open Space Grant Program.
Mr. Schwanke presented this item with a power point presentation.
Council Member Becky Glover made the motion to approve. Council Member
Marc Hendricks seconded the motion. Motion passes.
AYE 4 NAY 0 ABSTAIN 0
5. CLOSED SESSION (EXCEPTIONS): Under Tex. Gov't Code Chapter 551,
the City Council may enter into closed session to:
a. Consult with legal counsel regarding pending or contemplated
litigation and/or on matters in which the duty of the attorney to the
governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of

Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with
Chapter 551 of the Government Code (Tex. Gov't Code §551.071);
The council further reserves the right to enter into executive session at
any time throughout any duly noticed meeting under any applicable
exception to the Open Meetings Act.
6. Adjourn.
Council Member Marc Hendricks made the motion to adjourn at 7:26 p.m.
Council Member Mike Crist seconded the motion. Motion passes.
