A RESOLUTION BY THE ANNA COUNCIL RELATING TO A
WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT PROJECT THROUGH THE
GREATER TEXOMA UTILITY AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of Anna is seeking a grant from the Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs and has a need for improvements to its water supply system; and
WHEREAS, the City will need additional funds to complete the improvements to the water
system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna has requested that the Greater Texoma Utility Authority issue
bonds on behalf of the City of Anna in the amount of $600 , 000
project; and
in order to complete the
WHEREAS, the Greater Texoma Utility Authority was created under provisions of Article
XVI, Section 59 of the Texas Constitution as a conservation and reclamation district for the purpose
of assisting its member cities with water, sewer and solid waste services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anna has entered into a Water and Sewer Service Contract with the
Greater Texoma Utility Authority; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Anna that the Greater Texoma Utility Authority
proceed with development of an application to the Texas Water Development Board for financing
of its water supply system improvement project;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anna that the
Greater Texoma Utility Authority is authorized to proceed with the securing of long term financing
to provide the funds necessary to construct the necessary improvements to the City of Anna's water
supply system in the amount of $ 6 0 0 , 0 0 0

the above resolution was approved by the Anna City Council at its meeting held this 1 3 t h day of
April, 1 9 9 9 by the following vote:
