HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 2016-07-197 Radio GrantCITY OF ANNA, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. f).Ol~-(fJ.-1cr1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION (GRANT NUMBER: 3102501) FOR THE RADIO COMPLIANCE UPGRADE PROJECT TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE GRANT PROGRAM ATHORIZED OFFICIAL. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas (the "City Council") desires to approve the submission of a Grant Application (Grant Number: 3102501) for the Radio Compliance Upgrade Project to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division (the "Grant Program"); and, WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Anna finds it in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Anna that the Radio Compliance Upgrade Project be operated for the Fiscal Year 2017; and WHEREAS, in the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds, the City Council assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. Recitals Incorporated. The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes. Section 2. Approval of Grant Application. The City Council of the City of Anna Texas hereby approves the submission of a Grant Application (Grant Number: 3102501) for the Radio Compliance Upgrade Project to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division. Section 3. Designation of Grant Program Official The City Manager is hereby designated as the Grant Program Authorized Official and is authorized to execute all documents and to take all other actions necessary to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the Grant Program on behalf of the City of Anna.
