A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ACT ON THE CITY'S BEHALF IN EXECUTING AN ENGINEERING
SERVICE TASK ORDER WITH BIRKHOFF, HENDRICKS & CARTER, LLP FOR THE
EAST -WEST COLLECTOR WATER LINE PROJECT.
WHEREAS; The City has negotiated an engineering service task order with Birkhoff,
Hendricks, and Carter, LLP for the East-West Collector Water Line Project (the Project); and,
WHEREAS; the Project will provide the necessary engineering services to enable bidding
and construction of the project; and,
WHEREAS; the Project is consistent with the City's Strategic Plan; and,
WHEREAS; the amount of the engineering consulting fee covering Basic Services for the
project is for the lump sum of $52,100 with Additional Services at $2,530 for a total not -to -
exceed amount of $54,630; and
WHEREAS; funding is available for the Project through collected water impact fees;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Approval and Authorization of Engineering Service Task Order.
The City Council hereby approves the Engineering Service Task Order with Birkhoff,
Hendricks and Carter, LLP for the East-West Collector Water Line Project, attached hereto
as Exhibit A, and authorizes, ratifies and approves the City Manager's execution of same,
subject to final legal review and approval by the City Attorney. The City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute all documents and to take all other actions necessary to finalize, act
under, and enforce the task order agreement.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this 10th day
of April 2018.
