A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND ADMINISTRATE AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANNA AND COLLIN COUNTY IN WHICH THE
CITY OF ANNA AND COLLIN COUNTY AGREE TO TERMS FOR THE PLACEMENT OF
COLLIN COUNTY RADIO EQUIPMENT ON PROPERTY AND INFRASTRUCTURE
OWNED BY THE CITY OF ANNA
WHEREAS, Collin County (the County) proposes to install new radio equipment on the City
of Anna (the City) Hackberry Elevated Storage Tank (EST) and site located at 2609 W.
Hackberry Lane (the Project); and,
WHEREAS, City staff and the City's consulting engineer have reviewed and approved plans
for the Project; and,
WHEREAS, City staff has negotiated the terms of an Interlocal Agreement (the Agreement)
establishing the terms for the Project; and,
WHEREAS, it is acknowledged that the Project provides benefits to the City by improving
radio coverage, allowing for connections of the EST instrumentation to the County's backup
power generator, and enabling the potential for future revenue; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to authorize the City Manager to execute and
administrate said Agreement;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Authorization.
The City Council hereby approves the Interlocal Agreement with Collin County, attached
hereto as Exhibit A, and authorizes, ratifies and approves the City Manager's execution of
the same subject to final legal review and approval by the City Attorney. The City Manager
is hereby authorized to execute all documents and to take all other actions necessary to
finalize, act under, and enforce the Agreement.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this 12th day
of March 2019.
