A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, RENAMING SHERLEY FIELD TO SHERLEY
HERITAGE PARK.
WHEREAS, Sherley Field (The Park) is being repurposed and is no longer a ballfield; and
WHEREAS, The Park is now the location of the Anna Historical Train Depot; and
WHEREAS, Other structures are planned that will reflect Anna terrific history; and
WHEREAS, The Anna Parks Board at a regularly scheduled meeting has made such
recommendation; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANNA,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated.
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Approval of the Renaming of Sherley Field to Sherley Heritage Park.
The City Council hereby approves the naming of the park as Sherley Heritage Park.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas, on this 9t" day of
April 2019.
