ANNA PARK BOARD
MEETING
May 21,2018
The Park Board of the City of Anna held a regular scheduled meeting on Monday, May
21, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. at the Community Room of Anna City Hall Administration
Building, located at 111 North Powell Parkway (Hwy 5), to consider the following items.
1. Call to order and establishment of quorum
The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. Members present were Stan Carver,
Ginny Finan, Judith Waldrop, Danna Ward and Kirby Barrett. Staff present was
Maurice Schwanke and Matt Lewis. Kevin Hall, representative for GACC was
present for meeting.
2. Consider/Discuss/Act on recommendation concerning a special event application
submitted by Kevin Hall, representative for the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce
regarding the request for the "July 4th Fire Works Show" located at the Anna High
School football stadium on July 4, 2018.
A presentation was given regarding the July 4th, event. A motion was made by
Judith Waldrop, seconded by Ginny Finan to recommend approval of the July 4th
2018 event. Motion Carried
3. Consider/Discuss/Action on recommendation concerning Lakeview Park.
A motion was made to approve the General Plan for Lakeview Park as follow:
• Appropriate signage to read "No Boating"
• Emergency stairs installed from lake
• Railing installed along trail abutting lake wall
A motion was made by Judith Waldrop, seconded by Ginny Finan to recommend
approval of the above. Motion Carried
4. Discussion regarding the following:
• Bathroom hours at Natural Springs Park
• BSA Eagle Scout Project — Gaga pit
• Status update regarding Johnson Park
• Status update on park in front of JKB Greer
• Train Depot Location
• Status on Slayter Creek Park
1) Parking Lot
2) Baseball Park Hours
3) Slayter Concession Stand

• Anna Lake residents' complaints on trespassing status and plan for pier
• Anna Lake Concession Stand
The above items were discussed among members and staff. No Action Taken.
5. Park Minutes.
• April 16, 2018
A motion was made by Judith Waldrop, seconded by Danna Ward to approve
Minutes of the April 16th, 2018 minutes as amended by adding park fee
recommendations. Motion Carried
6. Adjourn.
A motion was made by Stan Carver, seconded by Ginny Finan to adjourn meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 9:43 p.m.
