A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ANNA, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A TASK ORDER WITH HAYDEN CONSULTANTS,
INCORPORATED FOR LAND SURVEYING AND PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING
SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT
THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED TWELVE DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($258,612.00);
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Taylor Boulevard is shown on the City of Anna Master Thoroughfare Plan to
be improved to a four -lane divided roadway; and,
WHEREAS, Taylor Boulevard is listed as a capital improvement project in the City of
Anna's Capital Improvement Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed land surveying and preliminary engineering services are
required to set the roadway alignment, determine scope of crossing Throckmorton Creek,
and to adequately establish the construction scope and cost for the project; and,
WHEREAS, the specific tasks and associated costs are highlighted on page 10 of the
proposal attached hereto as Exhibit "A"; and,
WHEREAS, Roadway Impact Fees shall be used to fund the task order in an amount not
to exceed $258,612.00; and,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANNA, TEXAS THAT:
Section 1. Recitals Incorporated
The recitals above are incorporated herein as if set forth in full for all purposes.
Section 2. Authorization of Contracts and Funding.
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a task order with Hayden
Consultants, Incorporated, in a form approved by the City Attorney and fund the project
using Roadway Impact Fees in an amount not to exceed $258,612.00.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Anna, Texas on this 14th
day of January 2020.
